RapidTale ("we", "us", "our") operates the website rapidtale.com. This policy describes our policies and procedures on the collection, use and disclosure of your information when you use the Service, and tells you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.

Interpretation: words with capitalised initials have meanings defined under the conditions below; the definitions apply whether the words appear in singular or plural.

• Account means a unique account created to access parts of the Service. On RapidTale, accounts exist only for staff/administrators who publish content.
• Company (referred to as either "the Company", "We", "Us" or "Our") refers to RapidTale, the operator of rapidtale.com.

• Device means any device that can access the Service, such as a computer, phone or digital tablet.

Personal Data: RapidTale is a reading platform. Readers browse and read stories without creating an account — no email, name or password is required to read. The only accounts on the site belong to the publishing staff, who provide:

• Email address
• Name (display name for authorship)
• A securely hashed password (never stored in plain text)

Usage Data: Usage Data is collected automatically when you use the Service and may include your device's IP address, browser type and version, the pages of our Service you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data. On RapidTale this is collected through Google Analytics and the site's own server logs.

3. Tracking Technologies and Cookies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track activity on the Service and store certain information:

• Session cookie: essential — keeps staff signed in to the publishing panel. Readers do not receive one unless they accept cookies.
• Consent cookie: remembers whether you accepted our cookie notice.
• Analytics cookies: used by Google Analytics to measure site usage (pages visited, device type, approximate location).
• Local storage: when you are not signed in, your reading progress, likes and bookmarks are stored locally in your browser. This data never leaves your device.

Cookies can be "Persistent" (remain on your device when you go offline) or "Session" (deleted as soon as you close your browser). The security of your data is important to us. No method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure — while we use commercially acceptable means to protect personal data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

RapidTale is a general audience site. Visitors under 13 may not create accounts, in accordance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will remove it.

Our Service may contain links to other websites that are not operated by us. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies or practices of any third-party sites or services.
