Bea and the Morning of Many Wonders
Chapter 1: Bea
Bea had packed three important things for her first trip to the wildlife park: her yellow hat, her toy rabbit, and a question.
“Will the animals be waiting for me?”
Daddy smiled as he fastened her car seat.
“They’ll be having their own morning. We get to visit.”
Outside, the sky was pink around the edges. Bea tucked Rabbit beside her and whispered, “Keep your eyes open.”
At the park gate, a keeper in a green jacket waved.
“Good morning! Stay inside your car, follow the signs, and give the animals plenty of space.”
Daddy nodded. Bea nodded too.
“Rabbit understands,” she said.
The gate creaked open.
