Bella the Bear and the Invisible Bubble

Chapter 1: Personal Space

In a sunny meadow called Honeydew Hill, there lived a young bear cub named Bella. Bella had the biggest heart in the whole meadow. She loved her friends so much that she showed it the only way she knew how: with giant, squeezy bear hugs.

"Hello, Daisy!" Bella would shout, wrapping her arms around the little deer before Daisy could even say hi.

"Good morning, Fig!" she would cheer, squishing the tiny mouse until his whiskers wiggled.

Bella meant well. But her friends had started to feel a little uneasy when they saw her bounding toward them.

One bright morning, Bella spotted her friend Daisy the deer nibbling clover by the stream. Bella charged over, arms wide open.

"DAISY!" she cried, scooping her up. "I missed you!"

"Bella, wait..." Daisy squeaked, wriggling free. Her ears were flat, and she took a quick step back. "I was eating my breakfast."

Bella blinked. "But I was just saying hello!"

Daisy didn't answer. She picked up her clover and tiptoed away.

Bella's heart felt heavy. Maybe Fig would cheer her up. But when she spotted Fig by the old log, he took one look at her, gasped, and scurried under a leaf.
