Little Fox and the Worry Pocket
Chapter 1: Curiosity Wins
Little Fox had a pocket full of treasures and a tummy full of twists.
In his pocket were a shiny pebble, half a pine cone, and a leaf shaped like a tiny umbrella.
The twists were harder to explain.
Tomorrow would be his first day at the woodland playgroup. Mama had packed his slippers and written his name inside them. She had shown him where they would hang his coat.
Everything was ready.
Except Little Fox.
“What if nobody talks to me?” he asked as Mama pulled back his bedtime blanket.
“Then we can think of a way for you to say hello.”
“What if I forget how?”
Mama sat beside him.
