Oliver and the Famous Red Dot

Chapter 1: Being loved matters more than being famous.

Once upon a time, there was a playful cat named Oliver who dreamed of becoming famous on the internet.

He watched videos of cats doing amazing tricks and decided he needed a talent of his own.

He tried jumping into a tiny box. He got stuck.

He tried balancing on a cushion. He rolled off.

Then a little red dot appeared on the floor.

Oliver chased it across the rug, under a chair, and straight into a pile of laundry. He emerged wearing a sock on his head.

His owner laughed so much that she nearly dropped her phone.

The video became popular. Oliver’s sock-covered face appeared on screens everywhere.

But Oliver knew nothing about the views or comments. He was busy sitting beside his owner, purring while she scratched behind his ears.

He had started the day wanting an audience.
