Chapter 1: A Story About Finding a Home

Deep inside a quiet forest where tall trees touched the sky and rivers whispered through the valleys, a little boy named Shamdeo lived a life unlike any other child.

The forest was his whole world.

He did not know the sounds of villages, the warmth of a family home, or the joy of playing with other children. Instead, he learned the language of the wild. He listened to the wind moving through the leaves, watched animals as they searched for food, and followed the paths created by forest creatures.

One day, people exploring the forest discovered the small child. They were surprised to find a young boy living alone among the trees. He moved differently from other children and was frightened by unfamiliar voices and faces.

The people wanted to help him, but they quickly realized that Shamdeo had never experienced the world they knew.

Bright lights, loud sounds, and crowds felt overwhelming. The simple things that many children learned naturally—speaking words, playing games, and sharing feelings—were completely new to him.

Instead of seeing him as strange, a kind group of people decided to understand him.

They knew Shamdeo was not a child who needed judgment. He was a child who needed patience, care, and kindness.

Shamdeo was taken to a caring place where children and adults looked after him. There, he received a new name: Pascal.
