The Brothers of Lost Twins Hill

Chapter 1: Always Dream Big

Long before the Great Lords of Dyrmont built their castles above Barrowatch, there was a quiet village surrounded by golden fields, winding rivers, and mysterious hills covered in mist. In that village lived two brothers named Rowan and Ellis, who were known for their endless imagination and adventurous hearts.

Every morning, the brothers raced outside before the sun had fully climbed into the sky. They carried wooden swords they had carved themselves and battled invisible dragons, mighty demons, and legendary knights beneath the old oak trees.

“I am the bravest knight in all the kingdoms!” Rowan would shout.

“Only because I let you be,” Ellis would laugh.

After their battles, they would run to the Mulberry River, where they splashed through the cool water, searched for shiny stones, and imagined discovering hidden worlds beneath the waves. To them, every day was a grand adventure waiting to begin.

But as the seasons changed, their father knew it was time for them to learn a new kind of courage.

One morning, he handed each brother a small sickle.

“Today, you will help me gather wheat,” he said kindly. “There is a lot of work to do, but when the sun turns the sky golden, you may return to your games.”

The brothers stared at the field in disbelief.

“But we have kingdoms to save!” Rowan protested.
