The Little Moth Who Followed the Moon
Chapter 1: Small tug
Every evening, when the garden turned blue with twilight, a little moth named Mira woke beneath a curled leaf.
She stretched her soft wings, shook a drop of dew from one antenna, and looked for the moon.
Sometimes it was round as a pearl. Sometimes it was a silver slice. Sometimes clouds tucked it away completely.
But whenever Mira could see it, she felt the same small tug inside.
Come closer, the tug seemed to say.
So one warm night, she decided she would.
“I’m going to visit the moon,” she told a snail resting beneath the lavender.
The snail’s name was Otis. He carried his home everywhere and never understood why anyone wanted to leave a perfectly good leaf.
“Will you be back before morning?” he asked.
“I think so.”
