The Three Little Pigs and the House with Room for Everyone
Chapter 1: Three Pigs
On the morning the three little pigs left home, Pip packed a flute, Poppy packed sunflower seeds, and Rowan packed so many tools that his bag fell over.
“Have you packed your socks?” asked their mother.
All three looked down at their bare trotters.
Their mother laughed and tucked socks into their bags.
“Build yourselves somewhere safe,” she said, hugging them. “And remember, asking for help is something brave pigs do.”
They set off beneath a sky as blue as a robin’s egg.
By lunchtime, they reached a meadow beside the woods.
“Here!” said Pip. “We can be neighbours.”
Poppy imagined a garden full of bees and butterflies. Rowan studied the ground to see where rainwater might gather.
Pip spotted a farmer carrying bundles of straw.
