The Hallway’s Secret

A few years ago, I was home alone late at night. I was sitting in my living room watching TV when I suddenly heard my doorbell ring.

Whenever someone comes to my door while I am alone, I always stay careful before opening it. Instead of turning on the porch light, I quietly walked toward the door and looked through the peephole. I did not want anyone outside to know whether someone was home.

It was very dark outside, but I could see something standing near my door. At first, it looked like a small dark shape. I could not clearly understand what it was, but it seemed to be around 3 or 4 feet tall.

The strange part was that it was moving. It looked like it was dancing, slowly moving its arms from side to side like wings. The figure looked darker and more visible than the area around it, which made it even more confusing.

I watched for a few seconds, but the sight became too scary, so I stepped away from the peephole. After gathering some courage, I looked again.

This time, the figure was gone.
