Archie the armadillo has the red bicycle he always wanted and no idea how to ride it, and after one wobbling fall he shuts it in the shed.

Mistakes And Failure Are Part Of Learning

In a sunny hillside town called Pedalwick, there lived a young armadillo named Archie. Archie had a tidy, curved shell, a curious snout, and a brand-new red bicycle with a silver bell that went ting-a-ling.

He had wanted that bicycle for as long as he could remember. There was just one problem. He didn't know how to ride it.

"It looks easy," he said, watching his friends zoom down the lane. "I'll hop on and go."

He hopped on. He pushed off. He wobbled left, wobbled right, and tipped over with a thud.

"Ouch!" said Archie, sitting in the grass with his bicycle on top of him.

His friends stopped and looked back. Rosie the rabbit giggled. Benji the badger bit his lip, trying not to laugh. Archie's cheeks burned hot beneath his shell.
