Milo and the Chocolate Wish

Milo and the Chocolate Wish — story cover

Milo loves chocolate more than anything and wishes that everything he touches will turn to chocolate, and by morning his teddy bear is a brown shape.

Wishing for too much of one good thing can make us lose all the others

Milo loved chocolate more than anything in the world.

He loved chocolate milk at breakfast, chocolate chip cookies after school, and chocolate ice cream on Saturdays. If a day went by without chocolate, he considered it a very poor day.

"I wish everything were chocolate," he sighed one evening, staring at the last square of his candy bar. "Then I'd never run out."

Grandma, who was knitting in the armchair, looked up over her glasses. "Be careful what you wish for, Milo."

"Why?" he laughed. "What could go wrong with chocolate?"

Grandma only smiled and went back to her knitting.
