The people who once called it home were forced to leave, and the city’s name was changed to Suffering, a reminder of the sadness that had fallen over the land.

Soon, the vampires turned their eyes toward the other human clans.

Many people were afraid. Some wondered if fighting back was even possible. The vampires had powerful magic, and Serana carried an ancient treasure called the Amulet of the Necromancer, which made her almost impossible to defeat.
